Personality: Erich is an adventerous person- to an extent. One sign of danger and he's gone faster than an Arcanine on Speed. He mumbles to himself a lot and is somewhat socially awkward due to staying in his house for most of his childhood. He is also very knowledgeable and if he spots anything that's interesting, he'll abruptly stop everything he was doing and examine it.

History: Erich comes from a moderately poor family. There was a time when he was rich, though. His father was a powerful man, and his grandfather, Augustus Durata, was a famous Archaelogist. His grandfather always brought Erich something back from his explorations. Erich cherished every single item he recieved, even if it was mere junk. Augustus was Erich's idol. His little family was as happy as they could be.

That changed, however, when on the same day Erich's father lost his job and his grandfather disappeared. Their wealth quickly vanished. They had to sell their mansion and every single artifact Augustus found, including the ones given to Erich. Erich's mom left them soon after, unwilling to accept she wasn't rich anymore. Erich's father tried his best to get a new job but sadly he never managed to keep one for long. Fed up with seeing his family broken, Erich set out to become an archaeologist like his grandfather to hopefully get rich again so his mom would come back, and to find out what happened to his grandfather.

His shoulderbag seems to be bottomless, seeing as how he can stuff so much in it (main things inside: magnifying glass and brush)
Named after Christian Erich Hermann, the founder of the Archaeopteryx, and Durata means "petrified" in Latin
He can't talk to girls. At all. He gets too flustered and starts studdering badly XD
